Our Wheatens are first of all our pets. Dog shows are not the main activity that we share with our dogs. We go to dog shows but on a moderate tempo because we prefer to spend our time doing other things and we prefer to see our dogs playing free in the garden, in the fields or in the wood. Dogs always prefer a walk in the countryside to spending a noisy day in a dog show where they are kept on leash and in a crate.
We value more a family life for our Wheatens where we entertain them having fun. We think it provides them with a better happy quality life.

We also limit the number of dogs in order to really be able to offer them a true family life and we don't get rid of our dogs when they are too old to be bred or too old to go to dog shows.
Here at Wheaten Barn, our Wheatens really are family members. We do not kennel them but we keep them free movement with us inside the house with a free access to all the rooms. We take our Wheatens when we are away. Being easy going by nature, they are no trouble to travel with.
