Welcome to Wheaten Barn where we family raise Irish Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers. Wheaten Barn is located 45 minutes West of Paris. Here at Wheaten Barn, Wheaten Terriers have been sharing our life for many years. This beautiful Irish breed is an old breed considered in Ireland as being part of their cultural patrimony. We are glad to help them preserving this patrimony.



Our wish is to introduce Irish Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers to people and to share our interest and passion for the breed as well as to share our knowledge that we were gifted to acquire from the most famous Irish breeders. When it comes to love them, you will need no more than a visit to fall in love with the breed. Blessed with a great intelligence and a huge loving heart, it is close to impossible not to be seduced by this Irish friendly dog with a heart of honey.

Without to be "flashy", well trimmed, Wheatens have style, a country one but still refined and this is how they love Wheatens in Ireland. The Irish Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is a real " gentledog farmer " ! Its look, characteristic of the breed inspired my kennel name " The Soft Irish Gentlewheaten ".
